Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Game Designer at MoonLabs Studios. The Game Designer will be responsible for:
Design and document game mechanics, systems, and features that enhance player engagement and enjoyment. Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including game design documents (GDDs), feature specifications, and wireframes. Balance gameplay by adjusting variables, analyzing player feedback, and conducting playtesting sessions. Stay current with industry trends and contribute innovative ideas to keep our games at the forefront of the market. Work closely with artists, programmers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of design elements into the game.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Game Designer in the gaming industry. Strong understanding of game mechanics, player psychology, and user experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey design ideas and concepts. Ability to think creatively and problem-solve in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to facilitate working with colleagues in a digital environment. Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of various game genres. Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with game development engines such as Unity or Unreal.
Knowledge of programming languages or scripting for game development.
Familiarity with 2D modeling and animation principles. Understand and have played Devikins' game.
